the Hoosier Hills Rug Hooking Guild will meet

June 8th at 10:30 AM
First Christian Church
117 NE 3rd St in Washington
(enter via west side door)

Note change of Washington location (library was unavailable).

The May meeting was held at Betty's house.  Amid food, fun, hot fingertips from glue guns, and "shopping", there was great company!  Here's the results of making trees using strips of wool made into quillies....

Melanie, Libby, Margo, Judy, Janice, & Sheila pose mid-gluing.

Margo & Judy hard at work.  In the foreground is Libby's tree.  She decided to sew her quillies on rather than attaching with glue.

A variety of colors, both in quillies as well as bases, were used.

Sharon, Anne, and Betty take their turn posing mid-gluing.
(Note: no horses were used in the making of these trees.)

Since Sug didn't want to pose in the earlier picture, she had to settle for a selfie with Sue.
Trees in various stages of completeness.
Not sure if the wig head is going to get the
quillie treatment as well ;)

Another view of the forest.

A close up of the trees.  Some have their toppers already on.
On the second tree from the right, note Mel's use of pins as centers of her quillies.

Variety, in terms of colors, is the spice of the forest!

Many thanks to Betty for the idea as well as hosting!

The July meeting will be held in Huntingburg public library.
